Thank you so much for your response to what has and is happening in our society. I am an African American Christian, and I love all people no matter the color of their skin. I am beyond angry about the continual mistreatment and unjustifiable killings of black men by white police officers who are NEVER HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS!!!!!! We cannot change the heart of racist person, but they should be held accountable for the actions!!!!!! I do not condone rioting and looting, but I do understand why they are doing it. No one, sad to say, not even the church has listened or cared enough to even acknowledge there is a problem!!!! That could be because many in our churches, who smile, hug, etc are just as racist as those that are in the world. Sad, but true!!!! If you are not an African American, you do not understand, but you do not have to understand to recognize injustice!!!!!!! And you certainly will not understand if you don’t ever recognize it!!!! I could go on and on, but you get the point. Thank you for recognizing. Now hopefully the dialogue begins.
