Our basic tenet is that God created everything and Genesis 1 is foundational to our faith. Some of the core pillars of theology that come from that assertion are:
1. God created ex nihilo, out of nothing. That means He is the First Cause, the Cosmological Argument for the Existence of God. Colossians 1:16
2. That makes God the first cause, before everything else. Revelation 1:8
3. He created with purpose and intelligent design. The world is uniquely and incredibly complex. Romans 1:20
So, what does that mean about the way we live?
1. There is no good stuff or bad stuff. Only God stuff. We are not capable of truly deciding if a thing is good or evil. Only God sees the beginning and the end. Only God truly knows. Romans 8:28
2. God is large and in charge. It’s all His and nothing surprises Him. He is good and He is in control. Isaiah 45:5-7
3. He owns it all. I owe it all. Everything between is grace. Ephesians 2:4-7. The air I breathe is His mercy.
