George Barna wrote a book recently, How To Think Like Jesus. He says there are 7 foundational truths that determine whether or not we have a genuine Biblical world view. Jesus said unless you have a house built on a rock it won’t stand. What we believe about God is crucial to right thinking about everything else.
Here are the first four. We’ve talked about 1-3 already. Go back and watch the last three MondayMatters.
1. God created everything, including us.
2. God’s desire was order and beauty.
3. God is intimately involved and invested in our life.
Now the next foundational belief. 4. Everything moves us toward redemption.

Every path has a purpose. The road on which God takes us may build faith, teach discipline, or correct direction but it has a purpose in our lives.
Every weight has a way out. You are not on a dead in. This is not a trap. God says He will always provide a way out. Fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith. He will lead you.
Every circumstance leads us to the cross. God desire is to redeem, reconcile, return you to His arms. Believe that. See it. Hold on to it.
Choose redemption today in whatever you face. Let Him draw you close to Him.
